Fishing Bobber/Floaty Free Pattern!


Hello! Father's Day is coming up and I thought this little bobber/floaty would be a perfect quick and easy crochet gift for dads! This little bobber is really easy, takes hardly no time at all, and it takes a very small amount of yarn and polyester stuffing plus it's adorable with the little safety eyes! Fishing Bobber/Floaty

Size

With size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook and medium 4 worsted weight yarn, the bobber is approximately 2 inches tall.

Materials

- Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- Medium 4 Worsted Weight Yarn (Red Heart With Love in red and white)
- Darning needle
- Scissors
- Polyester stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Safety eyes

Abbreviations

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
2sc: single crochet increase
st: stitch
BLO: back loop only (crochet into the back loops only)
inv sc dec: invisible single crochet decrease

The Pattern
Pattern is worked in a spiral. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.

The bobber
With white:

R1: Make a loose slip knot and ch 1, put 8 sc into the loose slip knot. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. =8
R2: 2sc in each st around. =16
R3: sc in each st around. =16
R4: sc in each st around, but make a color change to white in the last st of the round. =16
R5: sc into the BLO of each st around. =16
Weave in the ends, flip right side out and start stuffing.

R6: sc into each st around. =16
R7: *inv sc dec. Repeat from the star around. =8
Finish stuffing. Cut the yarn, pull through the last stitch and thread through a darning needle. Thread through the front loops of the remaining stitches. Pull tight to close the hole. Knot and weave in the end.

Top of the bobber
With red:

Ch 4, cut yarn and pull the end through the last ch. Sew to the bobber.

Thread white yarn through to hang the bobber.
